Five C's of Leadership with Indra Nooyi

Hi everyone,

Hope you all had a good weekend. The post I have shared with you is Indra Nooyi. She is a woman who I deeply admire and is a woman of substance. Nooyi is the CEO of pepsi and has also been among the worlds 100 most influential women. The 5 C's that she is talking about in this video has helped me to change my outlook towards life and has helped me in my own personal growth. I hope you all enjoy this video.

  1. Tanu, I loved this video. She's an amazing lady. What resonated with me the most about this is when she talks about slowing down the way you talk. OMG, do I ever need to do that! I became cognizant of how fast I talk from giving my tours, so I've been trying to take it down a few notches, but it doesn't come naturally to me yet. I know I will definitely need to master this in the classroom with ESL students! I also loved how she talked about integrity which is so, so important. Hope you all had a great weekend and didn't float away with all the rain. See you tomorrow!

  3. Thanks Tanu, I really liked the five C's of leadership presented by Indra Nooyi. I liked the five pillars that she mapped out for leadership being competency, courage, communication, consistency, and the moral compass regarding integrity. The one key point that I think is important for ESL teachers is to become "life long learners" and to keep learning as the pace of technological advances will aid teachers in new and exciting ways well into the future!

    1. I feel that this is a great video for ESL learners as it indicates the most important tools like learning, practice and application. Competency teaches them to be a life long learner. 'Education is knowledge and knowledge is confidence', more they will learn and practice, further they will grow and gain confidence. Communication skill will helps them to connect with others and help them to be fluent in their new language. Consistency in what they are learning is very important. lastly the compass, Integrity helps to build relation and virtue.
